Pete Davidson ⁢Pitches Sock Brand, ⁤DoubleSoul, to ‘Shark Tank’ Investors

Comedian Pete Davidson brought a unique pitch⁣ to the Shark Tank stage, seeking $500,000 for ⁤a 5% stake⁤ in his ‌sock company, DoubleSoul. The appearance, set to air on the⁢ Season 17 premiere, marks a foray into the business world for the⁤ Saturday Night Live alum, who previously expressed his initial ⁤uncertainty about ⁤brand partnerships.

Davidson’s venture ‍into the sock industry stems‌ from⁣ a desire to offer cozy and⁣ stylish options beyond the typical, often novelty-driven, choices available to consumers. “They’re comfy and sexy, and the name is cool,” Davidson told W Magazine in 2024. “A lot of people come to me with ⁣ [partnership requests], and I’m like, this seems captivating, but I don’t really know how to do it… But everyone needs socks. socks ‍are an afterthought: You get a 20-pack at ⁢Foot ⁤Locker, or you’re going to the gas station and buying Barbie socks, or socks with burgers on them.”

The season ⁣17 premiere ‌of Shark Tank, which aired Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 10pm ⁣ET/PT on ABC, also featured pitches from other entrepreneurs and notable figures. Athletes Metta World Peace, Bill Walton, Antonio Brown, and Brandon Jacob have all appeared on ⁢the show seeking investment. Davidson was joined by Patrick Schwarzenegger, who also promoted their shared protein bar brand,⁣ MOSH, during an appearance.
