Record Registration Fuels 13th Tarn Poker Championship
Albi, France – The 13th annual Tarn Poker Championship is set to break registration records, with over 400 players already signed up – surpassing the previous high of 330. The tournament, a cornerstone of the regional poker scene, will take place September 6th and 7th, offering a mix of classic and new events.
This year’s surge in participation underscores the growing popularity of poker in the region and promises a competitive field vying for substantial prizes. Organized by Christine Basile and her team, the championship isn’t just about the game; it’s a community event honoring past players and fostering a new generation of talent. ”There, really, we will explode the record. It is a huge figure for this individual tournament,” Basile stated.
Beyond the main “Tarn champion” individual tournament, players can compete for prizes including “Arena” and “Papy Jack” packages for tournaments in Lloret-Del, Spain, a “Kill Tilt” master-class, and Winamax merchandise. A new addition to the schedule is an Omaha tournament – a four-card variant of poker – which sold out quickly.
The championship also features two “Sides” tournaments renamed in tribute to recently deceased players, Fafaye and Linou. The event will culminate with the crowning of a new champion, succeeding last year’s winner, “Totof” of Rabastens.
