Olympic Rider to Lead Cross Country Clinic at Loch Moy Farm
DARBY, MD – August 21, 2024 – Eventing enthusiasts will have teh possibility to refine their skills with Olympic rider and four-course designer Andrew Heffernan at a cross-country clinic held at Loch Moy Farm on August 21, 2025. The clinic focuses on enhancing riders’ decision-making abilities, improving their instinct for safe and efficient courses, and building horse confidence over technical challenges.
This clinic arrives as riders prepare for the upcoming eventing season, offering a crucial opportunity to hone their cross-country expertise under the guidance of a world-renowned expert. Heffernan’s insights into course design and safe riding practices are notably valuable as eventing continues to evolve, demanding greater precision and partnership between horse and rider. Further opportunities for advanced training will be available October 14-15 with a 2-Day Succeed XC Master Class led by six-time Badminton Horse Trials winner Lucinda Green.A regular clinician at Loch Moy Farm, Green will share her extensive knowledge of cross-country riding.
The Master class will be limited to 4-6 riders per group,with each group receiving approximately two hours of instruction. Day 1 will focus on cross-country technique using schooling fences and gymnastic exercises, while Day 2 will concentrate on riding actual cross-country fences.
