Soshi Otsuki of Soshiotsuki Takes Top Honor at 2025 LVMH Prize
PARIS – Soshi Otsuki, the designer behind the label Soshiotsuki, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 LVMH Prize. The declaration came following presentations by the finalists before a jury comprised of industry giants including Phoebe Philo, Pharrell Williams, Stella McCartney, jonathan Anderson, and Sarah burton.
The LVMH Prize, established in 2014, is a important platform for emerging fashion talent, offering financial support and mentorship to help designers build their brands. This yearS competition highlighted a strong emphasis on individuality and craft. In addition to the main prize, Steve O Smith received the Karl Lagerfeld Prize, and Torishéju was awarded the Craft Prize.
Julie gilhart, a veteran of spotting emerging talent, noted the distinctiveness of this year’s class: “A kind of statement,” she said. “There’s craft as always, but I think if you look at everyone, they’re all so different wiht their strengths and power.”
