UCLA Men’s Basketball Announces October Exhibition Schedule
LOS ANGELES – UCLA Men’s Basketball will prepare for the 2025-26 season with two exhibition games in October, facing San Diego State and UC Irvine, the university announced Monday. The Bruins will first travel to San Diego to play the Aztecs on Friday, Oct.17, at Viejas Arena, before returning home to host UC Irvine at Pauley Pavilion on tuesday, Oct. 28.
These exhibition contests will provide valuable game experience for a UCLA team returning key players including seniors Eric Dailey Jr. and Trent Perry,as well as redshirt sophomores Brandon Williams and redshirt freshmen Eric Freeny. The Bruins open their regular season at home against Eastern Washington on Monday, Nov. 3, with a complete non-conference schedule already released. UCLA will play nine non-conference games at Pauley pavilion before january and will host one Big Ten Conference game in early December.
San Diego State finished the 2024-25 season with a 21-10 record (14-6 in the Mountain West Conference) under Head Coach Brian Dutcher, who is entering his ninth season. UC Irvine posted a 32-7 record (17-3 in the Big West Conference) last season, led by Head Coach Russell Turner, who is beginning his 16th season.
