Kehl am Rhein – Bürstner, a customary motorhome manufacturer and member of the EHG as 1998, is undergoing a significant restructuring, discontinuing its entire “Urban Camper” range-15 series encompassing 48 floor plans-and launching three new series for the 2026 model year. The move, initiated by newly appointed managing director Hubert Brandl in autumn 2024, signals a strategic shift toward a more focused product portfolio.
The decision reflects a broader trend among manufacturers like Carthago and Hymer as they reassess market demands and streamline operations. Bürstner’s previous expansive lineup was deemed too large and unwieldy, prompting the company too consolidate its offerings. This overhaul positions Bürstner to concentrate on new series, responding to evolving consumer preferences and possibly signaling a reversal in the motorhome market’s recent diversification.
