Warwick Davis to Reprise Role as Professor Flitwick in HBO’s ”Harry Potter” Series
Beloved actor Warwick Davis will return to the wizarding world, reprising his role as Professor Filius Flitwick in the upcoming HBO “Harry Potter” series. The casting was revealed alongside a broader declaration of the series’ ensemble cast, confirming Davis’s continued involvement with the franchise.
Davis originally portrayed Professor Flitwick in the “Harry Potter” film series,beginning with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in 2001. His return provides a direct link to the iconic films and offers a familiar face for fans as the story is reimagined for television. The HBO series, set to premiere in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max, will be led by showrunner and writer Francesca Gardiner (“His Dark Materials,” “Killing Eve”) and director Mark mylod (“succession”).
