Glen Powell underwent a focused physical transformation to prepare for his role in the romantic comedy “Anyone But You,” concentrating on developing a lean and powerful physique in just seven weeks. The actor’s trainer, nick, detailed the regimen, which prioritized enhancing the visibility of “mirror muscles” – chest, shoulders, traps, and abs – due to a limited timeframe and demanding filming schedule.
The transformation wasn’t about bulking up, but rather about achieving definition and a look of strength. Powell consumed 2800 calories daily, spread across three to four meals with a high protein emphasis. ”We analyzed what the ‘money shot’ woudl be. what would make Glen pop on camera,” Nick explained. “So, we concentrated on his ‘mirror muscles’… But, what we could do is make Glen look leaner, sharper, crisper, and give him a look of strength and power.”
Due to a hectic filming schedule, Powell’s training focused on the muscles most visible in camera shots. “You can’t create massive muscles in that amount of time, but you can create detail,” Nick said, adding that powell ”worked very hard to get in shape.” The trainer previously developed a bodybuilding program for a “Top Gun” client.
