Leidschendam-Voorburg Alzheimer Café to host Expert Discussion on Doctor‘s Role in Dementia Care
LEIDSCHENDAM-VOORBURG – The Alzheimer Café Leidschendam-Voorburg will open its doors on September 9th at 7:00 PM, with a presentation beginning at 7:30 PM, focusing on “your doctor, what is his/her role in the dementia process?” Dr. Sietse Crop, from general practice Crop, will lead the discussion, addressing questions about initial doctor visits for memory complaints, diagnostic guidelines, referral processes, medication, and ongoing care after a dementia diagnosis.
The Alzheimer Café Leidschendam-Voorburg serves as a monthly meeting point for individuals with dementia, their families, loved ones, caregivers, students, and anyone interested in learning more about dementia support. Each meeting features an expert presentation followed by a question-and-answer session, all within a relaxed and informative environment. Information regarding available aid and services is also provided.
The event will be held at de Mantel residential care center, located at Klaverweide 54, 2272 BV Voorburg. De Mantel is accessible by Tram 6 (lines 2,4,9),Metro E,and offers ample parking.Admission is free.
