Ricochet & Gates of Agony Secure Victory at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door: Zero Hour
Toronto, ON – August 24, 2025 – Ricochet and the Gates of Agony (Toa and Heka) defeated Michael Oku and JetSpeed on the pre-show of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, held today in Toronto, Ontario. The match,part of the “Zero Hour” kickoff event,saw Ricochet secure the pinfall victory after a controversial finish.
The win came after Ricochet was observed gouging Michael Oku in the eyes while the referee’s back was turned, creating an opening for the Gates of Agony to attack. The Gates then restrained Oku, allowing ricochet to execute his signature move, the Spirit Gun, for the decisive pin.
The match drew attention online, wiht footage circulating on social media showing Oku and JetSpeed delivering multiple slaps to Ricochet’s head during the contest.
