Netflix is reportedly developing two sequels to its surprise hit, K-Pop Demon hunters, following the film’s rapid ascent in popularity and a dedicated fanbase. The announcement comes as the movie’s soundtrack gains traction, showcasing a blend of original songs and collaborations with established K-pop artists.
The film’s soundtrack is a standout element, featuring tracks from both the fictional boyband Saja Boys and real-world K-pop sensations. “Soda Pop,” performed by Saja Boys,delivers a bubblegum pop sound,while “How It’s Done” is described as an undeniable hit with memorable lyrics: “Hair,nails,blade,mascara. Fit check for my napalm era,” rapped by the film’s heroines during an action sequence.
Another Saja Boys track, “Idol,” is noted for its hypnotic quality, mirroring its function within the film’s narrative.The song “Takedown” features contributions from K-pop group Twice, with three members recording a version specifically for the soundtrack.
