RIYADH – A notable decline in reported cases has been observed during the first seven months of the year, according to data presented by Al-qahtani. The rate of decrease varied monthly, starting with an 80% reduction in January, followed by 40% in February, and 75% in March. April and May saw decreases of 41% and 40% respectively, while June experienced a 59% decline. The downward trend continued in July with a 41% reduction in cases.
Al-Qahtani attributed this enhancement to comprehensive national efforts focused on environmental initiatives, particularly the Saudi Green Initiative. These efforts include rainfall enhancement projects, vegetation increase programs, regulation of overflowing water sources, and the protective role of royal reserves in safeguarding environmental systems. Positive climatic shifts in air mass patterns have also contributed to improved air quality and a reduction in dust sources, Al-Qahtani noted.
