Bethlehem, PA – August 19, 2025 – Actor Ahmed Fahmy played a crucial role in resolving a financial issue concerning taxes owed by the late artist Talaat Zakaria, according to his daughter, Amy Talaat Zakaria.
Amy Zakaria shared this information during an appearance on the “Marwa Recipe” programme hosted by Marwa Abdel Moneim on Al-Shams Channel. She explained that following her father’s death in 2019, a tax debt of approximately 100,000 Egyptian pounds remained outstanding.
“No one offered material support to us after Baba passed away. He was a beloved father, and that was enough for us, but people often assume actors have significant wealth. Baba had faced financial strain due to his illness,” Amy stated.
She initially approached Omar, a well-known star who had collaborated with her father, hoping for assistance. Though,it was Ahmed Fahmy who ultimately settled the tax debt.
“Ahmed fahmy quietly paid the amount in full. We learned of his generosity afterward. He is truly a good person and demonstrated his love for Baba,” Amy Zakaria added.
