Sioux Falls Little League Team Advances to Williamsport for Second Straight Year

SIOUX FALLS, SD – August 9, 2024 – The Sioux Falls little League team secured their spot in the Little League World Series on Friday, defeating Fargo, North Dakota, 6-0 in a game televised on ESPN. This marks the fourth time the Sioux Falls team has reached the prestigious tournament and the second consecutive year for the program.
The decisive victory followed a strong performance in the Midwest Regional Championship game held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at the Sioux Falls Little League complex. Sioux Falls dominated early, scoring 5 runs in the second inning and maintaining a shutout throughout the game. The team is managed by head coach ben Thompson, with assistant coaches including Jason Halvorson and Matt VanDenBerghe.
The Sioux falls team roster includes players such as Jaxson Halvorson,Brady Olson,Cael Larson,Owen Hanson,Lincoln Kienholz,and others representing the culmination of years of dedication from the local little League program.
