Parents arrested Dutch reality star Jessica C. ‘overwhelmed’ by her arrest

Reality Star Arrested in France with Millions in Drugs

Dutch TV Personality Caught with 147 Kilos of XTC

A Dutch reality TV personality, known for her appearances on popular shows, is facing serious drug trafficking charges in France after being apprehended with a substantial quantity of illegal substances.

Dramatic Highway Interception

The incident occurred last Friday when the star, identified only as C., was stopped at a toll plaza in Biarritz. Authorities, acting on a tip or routine check, reportedly found approximately 147 kilograms of XTC, with an estimated street value of three million euros, concealed within two large bags in her vehicle.

Family’s Desperate Search for Information

C.‘s parents in Barneveld expressed shock and distress following her arrest. They confirmed they had contacted Foreign Affairs on Friday after losing contact with their daughter. “They only said that they ‘had a view of her’, but they could not make any further announcements,” stated her stepfather.

The family remains in the dark regarding the specifics of the charges and has had no direct communication with C. since her detention. “We are still waiting for information from her French lawyer,” her stepfather added, emphasizing their deep concern and longing for her return. They admit they were aware of her frequent travels for her work as a DJ and influencer, even though she still resided at home.

Media Appearances and Legal Proceedings

C. gained public recognition through her participation in “The Worst Driver in the Netherlands” and more recently in the third season of “Real Girls in the Jungle” in 2024. Broadcaster RTL stated it would not comment on the ongoing situation.

The legal proceedings against C. are ongoing, with her family hoping for clarity on the indictment soon. Drug trafficking convictions in France can carry severe penalties, including lengthy prison sentences.

The sheer volume of XTC seized highlights the scale of potential distribution. In 2023, authorities in the European Union intercepted over 228 million ecstasy tablets, underscoring the persistent challenge of tackling illicit drug markets across the continent (EMCDDA, 2023).
