Piedmont Prepares for Beloved Stuffed Fish Festival
Vauda di Rocca Canavese welcomes week-long culinary and cultural celebration
Vauda di Rocca Canavese is gearing up to host its highly anticipated annual Stuffed Fish Festival, a cherished Piedmontese summer tradition. The event, running from August 2nd to August 9th, 2025, promises a deep dive into local gastronomy and community spirit.
A Taste of Canavese Tradition
Organized by the La Baraca association, with support from the Metropolitan City of Turin, the festival centers on the famed stuffed fish, prepared using a cherished family recipe and slow-cooked in a wood-fired oven. This dish exemplifies the region’s commitment to simple, authentic flavors.
The extensive food stalls will feature regional specialties, including anchovies with tomini cheese, oven-roasted Peppers of Carmagnola, Turgia salami, Piedmontese agnolotti, beans with pork rind in traditional tofeje pots, and Toma di Lanzo cheese. Attendees can also savor grilled meats, artisanal sausages, and a selection of local wines such as Barbera, Bonarda, and Arneis, each dish a testament to enduring culinary heritage.
Entertainment Extravaganza Alongside Gastronomy
The week is packed with a vibrant schedule of live music and performances. Festivities kick off on August 2nd with the music of the Cereres’s Musicants and the Federica Cocco orchestra. The following days will feature performances by Matteo Bensi, the comedic duo Marco & Mauro with their show “you don’t see a Kansas,” The Rodigini, Omar Codazzi, and Francesca Mazzuccato. The popular “I want to go back to the 90s” live show will be held on August 8th, with the grand finale on August 9th headlined by Cristina D’Avena.
Historic Wheels Join the Celebration
Adding a touch of vintage flair, the festival will host the tenth edition of the Historic Auto Gathering on Sunday, August 3rd. Starting at 4 PM, participants will enjoy a scenic tour of classic cars, culminating in a dinner within the festival grounds.

The Vauda di Rocca Stuffed Fish Festival offers a rich tapestry of local culture, food, and entertainment, inviting all to experience the authentic flavors and lively atmosphere of Piedmont.
