ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – After 13 years of dedicated service, Alisa Cooper will conclude her tenure on the New Jersey Casino Control Commission on July 31, 2025.

Ms.Cooper, a respected figure in both regulatory and local communities, leaves a significant legacy as the longest-serving Commissioner in the commission’s history. She played a pivotal role in upholding the integrity of New Jersey’s casino industry since her initial appointment by new Jersey Governor chris Christie and subsequent re-appointment by New Jersey Governor Phil murphy.

Reflecting on her time,Ms. Cooper expressed profound gratitude for the possibility to serve the people of New Jersey.”Its been an incredibly exciting journey,” she stated. “I’m proud to have helped uphold the commission’s commitment to honesty and integrity since its inception in 1977.”

Ms. Cooper’s diverse career path, which spans roles from entertainer to educator, and elected official to regulator, has provided a unique viewpoint that greatly benefited the commission.As an Atlantic City native, her dedication to the city’s growth and progress into a world-class gaming resort has been particularly fulfilling.

While her daily presence at the commission office will conclude, Ms. Cooper’s commitment to Atlantic City remains unwavering.

“While I’m starting a new chapter as I move on from the Commission,I’m definitely not retiring!
