Chance the Rapper has officially announced his new album, titled Star Line (also known as Star Line Gallery), set for release on August 15. This marks his first album as 2019’s The Big Day. The rapper also unveiled the album’s artwork, a creation by artist Brandon Breaux.
The collaboration with Breaux signifies a reunion, as the visual artist was responsible for the cover art of Chance the Rapper’s highly acclaimed mixtapes: 10 Day, Acid Rap, and Coloring Book. Notably, Breaux was not involved in the creation of The Big Day.
Earlier this month, Chance the Rapper released “Tree,” the lead single from Star Line. The album features production work from DexLvl.
Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book was recognized in Pitchfork’s list of “The 50 Best Albums of 2016,” where it was ranked at number six.
