Lamborghini Achieves Strong Sales and Profitability Despite Global Economic Headwinds
Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy – Automobili Lamborghini has reported robust financial results for the first half of 2025, demonstrating resilience amidst global economic and political instability. The luxury sports car manufacturer, acquired by Audi in 1998, saw a notable increase in deliveries, wiht 5,681 cars handed over to customers, a meaningful rise from the 5,558 units delivered in the first half of 2024.This sales performance underscores Lamborghini’s financial strength, highlighted by a Return on Sales (ROS) of 26.6%. This figure represents a record among all brands within the Volkswagen Group. For comparison, Bentley’s ROS stood at 6.9%, emphasizing the exceptional profitability achieved by the Italian marque.
The company’s turnover for the period remained stable at 1.62 billion euros, mirroring the performance of the same period in the previous year. However, the operating result saw a slight decrease of 5.9%, reaching 431 million euros compared to 458 million euros in the first half of 2024. This reduction is primarily attributed to unfavorable exchange rate trends in the last quarter and the management of duties in the American market.
Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, expressed satisfaction with the results, stating, “The results of these first six months of 2025 are solid despite the world economic and political instability and confirm that the choice to hybridize the whole range is the right one.” He further noted the success of the revuelto and urus models as evidence that the company’s vision resonates with customers. Lamborghini is now anticipating the market launch of the “Reckless” model, which will complete the brand’s first entirely hybrid range within its segment.
