The late Czech actor Jiří Krampol recently visited the historic Tasice glassworks, a site that has undergone meaningful restoration.
The 1796 glassworks, despite centuries of challenges, was designated a national cultural monument in 2014. Its current owner successfully resumed production two years later, revitalizing the facility.
During his visit, Krampol engaged with the glassmaking process, reportedly blowing a glass ball on the smelter. František Milichovský, who was present, recalled Krampol reminiscing about filming scenes at the glassworks for the series “Huták,” where he portrayed an innkeeper.Additional scenes for the pub setting were filmed in Mnichovice.
Jiří Krampol, widely recognized as the Czech voice of Jean-Paul Belmondo, showed considerable interest in Tasice. He signed autographs for attendees during his visit. Tragically, Krampol was hospitalized a few weeks after this event and passed away on July 26.
Milichovský expressed his satisfaction that krampol was able to participate in the event and entertain the audience before his passing.
