Wendlingen – “If I had stayed in East Prussia, I wouldn’t be sitting here today,” shares Christiane Beck, born in 1937, as part of a contemporary witness initiative in Wendlingen. She is one of six Wendlingen residents who have shared their experiences of flight and displacement following World War II through interviews.
Following the Second World War, a notable number of displaced individuals arrived in the region.
