Scooter Braun Reflects on Suicidal Thoughts, Divorce, adn Exiting the management Business
In a candid reflection, music executive Scooter braun revealed the profound impact his children had on him during a tough period in 2020, which included a fleeting suicidal thought amidst his marriage’s collapse. At the height of his career, Braun experienced a moment of intense despair, driven by the fear of not being able to be the father he wanted to be. This experience, though brief, was deeply unsettling and served as a catalyst for significant personal change.
Following this alarming episode, Braun confided in a friend who recommended the Hoffman Process. He entered the program on October 26, 2020, initiating a journey of healing that has lead him to a place of contentment six years later. Braun contrasted his current state with his past, noting that while he was once known for a pristine public image and no negative press, he is now divorced and frequently faces public criticism. Despite these challenges, he expressed profound happiness and stated he wouldn’t trade his current life, particularly his relationships with his children and friends, for anything.
Braun attributed his breakdown to a lack of a solid foundation when he could no longer control external circumstances. He emphasized that while the Hoffman Process didn’t “fix” him,it set him on a path of self-discovery. This journey has involved ongoing study of practices such as breathwork, meditation, therapy, stoicism, and Kabbalah.
Looking ahead, Braun expressed a desire to move past past controversies, humorously stating he wants people to stop asking about them. More significantly, he has definitively exited the management business, asserting there is no turning back. When asked if there was an artist he wished he had managed, Braun firmly declared, “I don’t ever want to manage again.” He concluded by stating he had an amazing management career and is content with his past achievements, wishing for “peace, love and happy endings” for all involved.
