Versatile and Modern Engineering

Sharing its platform with the new Volkswagen Passat, the Audi 80 offered a range of body styles, including 2-door and 4-door sedans, and a 5-door avant station wagon. Various trim levels, such as the S, L, LS, GL, GT, and the later GTE, catered to diverse customer preferences. Its modern transverse engine and front-wheel-drive layout maximized interior space.

Compact Dimensions, Impressive Agility

Measuring 4.18 meters long, 1.60 meters wide, and 1.36 meters high, with a 2.47-meter wheelbase, the Audi 80 fit comfortably into the mid-size car segment. The 1.3-liter base model weighed a mere 835 kilograms, enabling brisk acceleration despite its 54 horsepower.

Performance Prowess
