West Pomerania Ranks Second in Poland for Richest Local Governments

In a recent assessment of cities with poviat status, Świnoujście secured the 9th position, outperforming Koszalin, which ranked 36th.

The performance of Szczecin is noteworthy, as the voivodeship capital dropped to 14th place among voivodeship cities, with an income of PLN 8,386.83 per capita. This marks the capital of West Pomerania‘s lowest result in many years, contrasting with cities like opole and Poznań, which have maintained strong standings due to notable investments.

Within the provincial rankings, Lesser Poland emerged as the least affluent region, with an income of PLN 580.65 per capita. Warsaw retained its leading position among cities, reporting an income of PLN 12,699.84 per capita. The municipality of Kleszczów in the Łódź Voivodeship remained unparalleled, achieving an income exceeding PLN 35,000 per capita, largely attributed to revenue from the Bełchatów power plant.
