The 2024-2025 season at Odyssud has been hailed as a resounding success, marked by an extraordinary 89% attendance rate. Audiences flocked to major productions and were drawn to innovative programming that piqued their curiosity. The venue also continued to expand its cultural outreach initiatives, contributing to a highly accomplished year.

This season represented the frist fully programmed and implemented by the current director, following the completion of the 2023-2024 season by Emmanuel gaillard. The director expressed satisfaction with the public’s engagement, highlighting Odyssud’s rich history and its remarkable capacity for reinvention.
How did you bring the public back to the building?
A key strategy involved hosting one special performance per month within the building, wich proved highly successful. These events often featured unique staging or offered intimate experiences with the artists. This approach will be continued next season, albeit on a more moderate scale, due to upcoming renovation work.
what about the new season?
The upcoming season’s programming will feature a greater number of high-profile productions across dance, circus, and music.Highlights include the return of Stomp, performances by Dido and Bianca li, and the highly anticipated show by Apple and Yoann Bourgeois in December at the Théâtre de la Cité, considered one of France’s most eagerly awaited performances of the year. This strategic programming aims to retain Odyssud’s loyal audience while attracting new patrons, a dual objective crucial for the venue’s future, especially as renovations loom.
Why go to Avignon?
The director plans to attend the Avignon festival to stay abreast of current trends and catch up on shows that were missed during the year but have garnered significant buzz. This visit will include attending some performances with Julia, the programmer from Aria, a key partner.
Where are Odyssud’s work?
The site launch meeting for the upcoming renovations took place on Thursday,July 3rd. Companies will begin occupying the premises progressively, signaling the commencement of the much-anticipated work.
