A driver who witnessed a fatal crash in Waiuku on Tuesday has described the harrowing scene, stating there was “absolutely no way” the vehicle’s doors could be opened. The witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, recounted their efforts to assist the occupants of the submerged car.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, prompting an emergency response. The witness attempted to rescue the individuals trapped inside the vehicle but was unsuccessful due to the car’s condition. Following their failed rescue attempt, the witness contacted emergency services.
