Vienna, Austria – The historic Breitenseer Lichtspiele cinema, a family-owned institution for over 50 years, is embarking on a significant renovation project, including the installation of new seating, while also commemorating its 120th anniversary with a special program and an upcoming gala.
The cinema, currently managed by Christina nitsch-fitz,who inherited it from her aunt in 1969,has seen a resurgence in attendance despite the proliferation of streaming services. following the summer recess, the cinema will celebrate its 120th anniversary with a gala event, marking the official unveiling of the newly renovated hall.
