Levski Legends Observe Team Training Amidst Transfer Speculation
Nasko Sirakov, the majority owner of Levski, was present at Gerena yesterday morning, observing the team’s training session. He was accompanied by Anton Kraus, a member of the Supervisory Board, and club legend Bozhidar Iskrenov, according to Topic Sport.
The presence of these prominent figures comes as Levski navigates potential transfer needs. Bozhidar Iskrenov, also known as “Gibbon,” is currently serving as a coordinator between the club’s academy and the first team. Iskrenov believes Levski possesses the capability to overcome Apoel Beer Sheva and currently has a sufficient squad, negating the necessity for costly transfers.
Though, the club is reportedly considering a contract for goalkeeper Martin Lukov. Lukov, a former national team player, has been training with the team for approximately ten days but has not yet been officially announced as a new signing. Levski is seeking an experienced goalkeeper following the departure of Croatian player Matthew Markovic before their initial match against apoel Beer Sheva. Currently, the goalkeeping position is covered by Svetoslav Vutsov, the undisputed starter, and 17-year-old ognian Vladimirov.
