Peacock announces Premiere Date for Mockumentary Comedy “The Paper”
Peacock has officially announced that it’s new mockumentary comedy series,”The Paper,” will premiere on September 4th with its first four episodes. The series will then release two new episodes every Thursday, concluding its run on September 25th.
The show follows the documentary crew responsible for immortalizing the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch in “The Office.” Their new subject is a historic Midwestern newspaper and its publisher, who is attempting to revive the publication.
“The Paper” was created for Universal Television by Greg Daniels, the developer of the american version of “The Office,” and michael Koman, co-creator of “Nathan for You.” Both Daniels and Koman will serve as executive producers.
The ensemble cast features Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, ramona Young, Tim Key, and Oscar Nuñez.
