Comic Con Astana 2025 Crowns Cosplay Champions Amidst Record Turnout
Astana, Kazakhstan – Comic Con Astana 2025 concluded with a spectacular showcase of creativity and fandom, awarding top honors in its highly anticipated cosplay competition. The duo of Cody and May from “IT Takes Two” secured the prestigious “Avengers Assemble” award, while Jinx and Mini Bro from AstanaS own entry claimed the “Main Character Energy” award, celebrated for their audience appeal. Sishka14 from Tyumen impressed with their accurate “2D to 3D reincarnation” of Jinx from the series “arcane.” The family cosplay category saw the Wukong & Erlang team from “Black Myth: Wukong” triumph in the “Super Junior” nomination. The organizers’ special recognition, the “living Legend of Comic Con Astana 2025” title and a prize of 700,000 tenge, was bestowed upon Aruvibez from Almaty for their original character, Tengrida.
The festival, held at Astana EXPO, transformed into a vibrant hub for geek and pop culture enthusiasts over several days. Attendees enjoyed autograph sessions, master classes, appearances by stars, bustling fairs, competitive game tournaments, engaging presentations, and a multitude of thematic activities. A particular highlight was the “alley of authors,” featuring over 150 artists and craftspeople from kazakhstan who offered unique merchandise, custom portraits, and opportunities to connect with creators.
In a short span, Comic Con Astana has established itself as a pivotal event for the region’s creative industries, consistently elevating its offerings and uniting a global community of creators, brands, and fans. Preliminary figures indicate that over 75,000 people attended the festival this year, marking a new record for large-scale cultural events in Kazakhstan.
