On July 9, the Organizing Committee officially opened the student basketball tournament: Electronic Magazine Educational of Vietnam 2025 (Liga GMB 2025). It is a professional and systematic sports competition, organized for the first time at the internive level, which brings together almost 50 male and female teams and more than 700 athletes of secondary schools, preparatory, universities, colleges and basketball training centers in Hanói.
At the Press Conference, Mr. Nguyen Tien Binh, head editor of the Electronic Vietnam Education magazine, vice president of the Vietnam Universities and Colleges Association and President of the Tournament Organizing Committee, said that athletes have sports insurance and attention medical which guarantees a safe competition and tranquility. This effort demonstrates professionalism and humanity that the tournament seeks in its organization.

Mr. Dinh Duc Manh, general undersecretary of the Vietnam Basketball Federation, said: «The tournament was organized in a methodical, professional and systematic way. This is a very promising beginning, which opens many doors for young people to learn, exchange and practice their basketball skills ».
This is the first basketball tournament in Vietnam that applies a multilevel model, from the U-15 and U18 category to the SUB-23. The tournament, in addition to its exceptional scale, also pays special attention to the rights and health of athletes.
The tournament will take place from July to September 2025 and seeks to develop physical aptitude, improve spiritual life, teamwork and solidarity in the student community. It also contributes to the creation of an environment deportivo healthy and civilized, promoting the practice of physical exercise and sports among young people.
This year’s tournament seeks to discover, nurture and develop young basketball talents, in addition to serving as a bridge between training units, schools and sports centers. The tournament is a summer of passion, which opens the doors to young athletes for an integral development of their physical, mental and social skills.
