A Father’s Anguish
The 81-year-old actor, originally from Cuba but now residing in Bogotá, explained that “it was very hard for me.”
He expressed deep sorrow for not being able to be with his daughter during her final days and at her burial. His commitments prevented travel, forcing him to grieve from afar, a process that “I keep doing it.”

The actor lamented that Almost all my family is no longer in this plane and my last loss was my daughter, a month and a half ago.”

**Cao**, recognized for his roles in telenovelas such as The Law of the Heart and Pasión de Gavilanes, feels deeply connected to Colombia. He has built a life and career there over three decades.
He affirmed, “I am part of this country, of this story. And I have continued to develop my career another 30 years – in Colombia there are 32-. So, here we are. I am part of this town, their anguish, their sadness and their joys.”
