The soloist of the National Theater Opera Helena Tattermusch, the winner of the Thalia Award, died

At the age of 92 on Sunday morning, an emeritus soloist of the National Theater Opera in Prague, Helena Tattermusch, a Thalia Award winner for a lifelong championship. She hosted on the Czech first scene during her studies at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, and became a member at the age of 23, after two years spent at the Theater in Ostrava. The National Theater spokesman Tomáš Staněk said it.

The native of Libeň, Prague, where she began to sing in the school choir on the Koraba, studied singing at Vlasta Linhartová at the Prague Conservatory from 1948 to 1953 and continued her studies at the Faculty of Music at Jaromíra Tomášková from 1953 to 1954. During her studies, she performed for the first time at the Smetana Theater (today the State Opera) at the end of June 1953 as Barča in Smetana Hubička.

The character of the soprano of the Tattermusch was particularly suited to Mozart’s party, which has been proven many times during more than thirty seasons. For example, critics appreciated her Zuzanka of Figaro’s wedding or papagen from the magical flute and highlighted the excellent acting and sense of humor. According to them, Tattermusch was also an excellent Rosina in the Spangle of Seville or Gilda in Rigolett.

She also captivated in girls’ figures of Czech operas, for example as Terinka in Jakobín or Blaženka in mystery. Her, according to music experts, an unsurpassed masterpiece, was the portrayal of the title role in the events of the brick of the Bystroušky.

She also worked with radio and television. She worked as a singing teacher at the Prague Conservatory.
