Train Collision in Czech Republic Leaves Driver Seriously Injured
blovice, Czech Republic – July 1, 2025 – A serious traffic accident occurred today in Blovice, involving train R 661 Rožmberk and a Škoda Octavia passenger car at a railway crossing on Zdlážní Street. The driver of the car sustained serious injuries and required rescue by firefighters using hydraulic tools before being airlifted to the University Hospital in Pilsen.Emergency services responded to the scene, including rescue teams with a doctor, and the Air Rescue Service (ACR) from Lisen was activated due to the severity of the injuries. The railway line between Blovice and Ždirec near Pilsen was temporarily closed while emergency operations were underway. Firefighters also secured the accident site and implemented fire-fighting measures.
