MIXI Sponsors Rising Figure Skating Star Yamamoto Sota
Tokyo, Japan – July 1, 2025 – In a move signaling a commitment to supporting athletic excellence, MIXI Co., ltd. today announced a sponsorship deal with Japanese figure skater Yamamoto Sota. The partnership aims to fuel Yamamoto’s continued success as he competes on the world stage.
Yamamoto Sota’s journey to the top has been marked by resilience. After overcoming two fractures and undergoing three surgeries, he returned to competition in 2017-2018. His dedication culminated in a silver medal at the ISU Grand Prix Final in 2022-2023, a gold at the Winter World University Games, and his first selection for the World Championships. The 2023-2024 season saw further triumphs, including a victory at the ISU Grand Prix Series Canada Tournament and a third-place finish at the All Japan figure Skating Championships – his first podium appearance at the event. He is now preparing to represent Japan at the Four Continents Championships.
