Ball’s Journey Takes Him to Cleveland
A familiar name is returning to the court in Cleveland. After battling injuries that sidelined him for two seasons, Lonzo Ball is set to join the Cavaliers, marking a new chapter in his career.
Ball’s Return and Recent Struggles
After missing two full seasons due to knee issues, Ball made his comeback during the 2024-25 season. He was only able to participate in 35 games.
During his brief time back on the hardwood, the 27-year-old averaged 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per contest. He also recorded 1.3 steals per game while shooting 34.4% from three-point range.
Career Overview
Ball, originally drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick in 2017, has experienced a career marked by health challenges. The last time he played more than 60 games in a season was in the 2019-20 campaign with the New Orleans Pelicans.
He has been with the Chicago Bulls since the 2021-22 season, but has only played 70 regular-season games with the team.
Okoro’s Situation
Isaac Okoro, 24, faced a tough season in a bench role last year, with career-low averages in points (6.1), rebounds (2.4), steals (0.6), minutes (19.1), and games played (55).
He was drafted by the Cavaliers fifth overall in the 2020 NBA Draft.
