Time Bomb Comics Launches New ‘WestWords’ and ‘Comic Scene‘ Imprints

Time Bomb comics is set to broaden its horizons with the launch of two new imprints, ‘WestWords’ and ‘Comic scene’. These creator-led initiatives are designed to expand the publisher’s range of titles and enhance reader recognition within the comic book community.

‘WestWords’ Imprint: A Deep Dive into Dave West‘s Worlds

The ‘WestWords’ imprint will primarily showcase the creative output of Dave West, celebrated for his *WesterNoir* universe. This universe masterfully blends elements of horror and the weird west, captivating fans with its unique storytelling. Originally conceived as a western horror narrative with artist Gary Crutchley, the saga of Josiah black is unfolding across five original graphic novels.

Further stories set within the *WesterNoir* setting are also a staple of Time Bomb’s anthology comic, *Quantum*. Notably,*Quantum* No. 10 featured a crossover collaboration between *WesterNoir* and John Higgins’ iconic *Razorjack* series.

Did You Know? Dave West’s *WesterNoir* universe combines elements of classic Westerns with supernatural horror, creating a unique and compelling narrative.

Expanding the ‘WestWords’ universe

In addition to new *WesterNoir* releases, Dave West intends to publish more of his steampunk *Stephenson’s Robot* and urban fantasy *Kia Wordsmith* under the ‘WestWords’ banner. West has hinted at a connected universe between these titles.

“WesterNoir, Stephenson’s Robot, and Kia are actually all connected,” he revealed. “Some hints have been dropped into existing issues of some of these, and as time progresses, readers will learn more.”

The name ‘WestWords’ was chosen after realizing that “WestWorlds” would be easily lost in search results due to the popular HBO series *Westworld*. The slight alteration ensures better online visibility while retaining the essence of Dave West’s creative worlds.

‘Comic Scene’ Imprint: A Collaboration with Tony Foster

‘Comic Scene’ is already a well-known name in the british comics scene, thanks to Tony Foster’s multi-channel platform. Foster’s work regularly promotes comics through websites, newsletters, annual awards, and published titles. Time Bomb publisher Steve Tanner aims for the new *Comic Scene* imprint to be more than just a vehicle for his own projects.

“With the exception of Major Rakhana that I wriet for Quantum, anything new I create will now be published first under the ‘Comic Scene’ imprint, but it will also showcase the work of other creators,” Steve explained.

Pro Tip: Supporting independent comic creators can lead you to discover unique and innovative stories you won’t find anywhere else.

Evolving the ‘Comic Scene’ Presence

Steve Tanner intends to collaborate closely with Tony Foster to develop the *Comic Scene* imprint. The goal is to evolve the existing *Comic Scene* online presence, which has been championing and supporting British creators and their projects for several years. The first titles to be published under Time Bomb’s *Comic Scene* imprint will be announced soon.
