A family’s lunch excitement reached new heights, all thanks to a robot. In Billund, Denmark, at Mini Chef, the Lego House restaurant, children eagerly order meals by combining Lego bricks and sliding them into a unique machine.

The restaurant, inside Lego House, offers meals made by a Lego chef, shown on a screen. The meals travel on a spiral conveyor belt to robot waiters, Robert and Roberta. The robots, sporting Lego bowties and goggly eyes, delight children, prompting laughter. The menu includes tasty options, like cauliflower and chickpea curry, plus oven-roasted salmon.

The Lego House, a towering structure resembling 21 giant blocks, is the “Home of the Brick.” Inside, the attraction houses 25 million Lego bricks. These are arranged into models like dinosaurs and a giant tree. Four “experience zones” provide building opportunities.

Visitors receive scannable wristbands at the entrance to use for activities. Children sprint to grab Lego blocks. The cameras capture selfies, stored for access via the QR code on wristbands.

Activities include building brick self-portraits, which are scanned to generate digital versions that dance to music. Visitors can also create digital fish and release them into a virtual aquarium, complete with a Lego shark.
