Bithumb & SSG Landers Team Up for Youth Baseball
Crypto exchange joins forces with baseball team to support young athletes.
Cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb is launching a donation campaign with teh SSG Landers baseball team to support youth baseball. The “Bithumb Donation Challenge” aims to fuel young players’ passion for the sport.
Honoring a Baseball Legend
The Bithumb Donation Challenge honors the career of Choo Shin-soo, who retired last year and now serves as a spare assistant for SSG Landers. The initiative seeks to continue Choo’s dedication to baseball and provide support for youth programs.
How to Participate
To participate, individuals must register with Bithumb. New members who register a coupon code (found on the SSG Landers app) by the 23rd will automatically donate 30,000 won to youth baseball development and receive the same amount in Bithumb Rewards. They can also earn up to 20,000 won through the Welcome Mission Compensation, totaling 50,000 won in rewards.
Existing Bithumb members can also participate by registering the coupon to donate 10,000 won. Note that only the first 3,000 participants will be eligible for this donation.
Important Details
each account can only register the coupon once. Participants must complete Bithumb membership, customer confirmation (KYC), and connect a KB Kookmin Bank account. Bithumb won will be forfeited if there is no transaction within 30 days of the event.
Donation Allocation
donations will be delivered to youth baseball teams in incheon through the Incheon Social Welfare Community Fund. The funds will support training items, including baseballs.
Campaign Goals
According to the Aspen Institute’s “State of Play 2023” report, only 36.8% of children aged 6-12 participate in team sports regularly, highlighting the need for initiatives supporting youth sports Aspen Institute 2023.
