A Program of Academic Excellence

The University of North Florida’s softball program has a strong tradition of academic success. The five selections this year bring the program’s total to 14 CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-District Team members.Notably, 13 of these honors have been earned in the past four seasons, demonstrating a consistent focus on academic achievement.This marks the second consecutive year that UNF has had at least five players selected, underscoring the team’s dedication to balancing rigorous coursework with the demands of collegiate athletics.

Benning and reichert are repeat honorees, earning their second career selections to the CSC Academic All-District Team. Culp,Brock,and Berry are first-time recipients of this prestigious award. The players represent a diverse range of academic pursuits, with Benning, Reichert, and Berry completing their bachelor’s degrees, while Culp and Brock pursued master’s degrees at UNF.

About the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Award

The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Softball Teams honor the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined achievements in athletics and academics. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes honorees across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 17. The Division II and III CSC academic All-America programs receive partial financial support from the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, assisting CSC with awards fulfillment. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially supported through the NAIA national office.
