Nintendo may be gearing up for a July Direct, avoiding other game showcases this month.
This has not been confirmed, with industry insider Jeff Grubb saying only that he heard reports from a Nintendo Direct sale in July.“Early Rumble”.In his Giant Bombcast, Grubb said the following:
I’ll say I’ve heard there’s something going on in July. Whether it’s a proper direct, a partner direct or a 3rd party showcase direct…however they want to frame it – direct mini. I don’t know, but it seems… don’t expect anything like that, at least until next month, if that happens. But like I said, rumble. It seems likely that something will happen to Nintendo next month, though a July direct would be weird.

Nintendo did have a couple of big releases over the rest of the year, including Pikmin 4, but it’ll be interesting to see what else the company has planned for the near future.
