A devastating crash that killed three members of a family in Co Tyrone has left their local community in shock. Dan and Christine McKane, along with their aunt Julia McSorley, died when their minibus collided with a lorry on the A5 near Aughnacloy. They had been returning from a family funeral in Corby, Northamptonshire. A funeral service was held for two siblings at The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Strabane, with the song Danny Boy performed and poems read by their children. President Michael D Higgins and Sinn Féin Stormont leader Michelle O’Neill attended. Fr Declan Bolan thanked them for their support and praised the community for their outpouring of compassion in the wake of the tragedy.
