The “old” school typeface with its loops and flourishes will soon have had its day. According to a decree, the so-called “Schulschrift 1969” is to be phased out in schools from 2023/24 – it can still be used, but will no longer be taught again. Instead, they rely exclusively on the “1995 School Typeface”; so far, teachers have been able to choose one of the two variants. In the end, this was practically the 95 typeface all the time anyway.
