Apple launched the iPhone 14 series this year, but the entry-level iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus sales are not good. In this regard, a whistleblower revealed that Apple is unlikely to cancel the iPhone 15 Plus, so it is considering significantly reducing the prices of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

According to a report by foreign media “9to5mac”, due to the large difference in specifications between the entry-level models of the iPhone 14 series and the flagship models, many fruit fans directly buy the Pro or Pro Max models, resulting in bad sales of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. There are also many comments saying, “Don’t buy iPhone14, because it has almost no upgrades, you can buy iPhone13 directly, and the price is relatively low.”

The iPhone 14 Plus also has similar comments, because the upgrade of this model is only a bigger screen and a bigger battery. Although these two points are important functions of the mobile phone, the price goes up to US $ 900 (approx. NT $ 27,596), which is not much. For $ 200 (about NT $ 6132), you can go straight to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which has many extra features.

The report pointed out that in the face of this situation, Apple has a great chance to cancel the iPhone 15 Plus completely, but the product planning has been completed and it is “too late” to cancel the model. Therefore, the whistleblower said that Apple is considering significantly reducing the price of the iPhone 15 Plus.

Also, while the whistleblower did not clearly state the extent of the price cut, it will only have a significant impact if it is lowered by at least USD 100 (approximately NT$3,066), followed by price cuts.
