9 New Horror Movies to Stream This Week (March 24, 2026)

Nine new horror films were released for home viewing on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, offering a diverse range of scares for genre fans.

Among the releases is Past Life, a psychological thriller starring Aneurin Barnard (Dunkirk), Pixie Lott (Fred: The Movie), Nicholas Farrell (Chariots of Fire), Tim McInnerny (“Game of Thrones”), and Jeremy Piven (Primitive War). The film centers on journalist Jason Frey, haunted by trauma, who experiences a murder through hypnosis and uncovers connections to a past life. Also available is Mimics, the directorial debut of Kristoffer Polaha. The film, which initially had a theatrical release in February, blends horror, fun, and romance. It stars Nashville-based Latina Country singer Mōriah, Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live), Stephen Tobolowsky, and Polaha himself. The story follows an impressionist who makes a pact with a sinister puppet to achieve stardom, with dangerous consequences.

Sam Raimi’s return to the genre with Send Help is now available on Digital via 20th Century Studios. Starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner), the comedic survival thriller follows two plane crash survivors stranded on a deserted island. The film is set to be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on April 21, including over two hours of bonus content.

French creature feature The Deep Dark, described as a blend of The Descent’s claustrophobia and Lovecraftian horror, was also released on VOD. The film, directed by Mathieu Turi, stars Samuel Le Bihan (Brotherhood of the Wolf), Amir El Kacem, Jean-Hugues Anglade (Taking Lives), and Thomas Solivérès (The Intouchables). It follows a team of miners who awaken a monstrous entity while researching a crypt.

Bloody Disgusting’s Screambox streaming service added the Lovecraftian horror film The Daemon to its library. The film centers on a teenager possessed by a dark force and her mother’s desperate search for a cure. It stars Gia Hunter, Charlotte Hunter (American Psycho), Fernanda Romero (The Eye), and Alice Coulthard (“The Last Ship”).

Lionsgate released the sci-fi revenge thriller Redux Redux on VOD. The film, written and directed by Kevin McManus and Matthew McManus (The Block Island Sound), stars Michaela McManus (“Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), Stella Marcus, Jeremy Holm (“Mr. Robot”), and Taylor Misiak (“Dave”). The story follows a woman traveling through parallel universes to avenge her daughter’s death.

The Chinese sci-fi epic Resurrection, from writer-director Bi Gan, is now available on all major VOD outlets and streaming exclusively on the Criterion Channel. The film stars Jackson Yee and Shu Qi and explores a world where humans have traded dreams for immortality.

Also released on Tuesday was Crybaby Bridge, based on the urban legend of a woman who throws herself and her child from a bridge. The film stars Sydney Mikayla (“Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts”), Florencia Lozano (“One Life to Live”), Michael Laurence, and Erik King (“Dexter”). It was directed by Sarah T. Schwab and co-written with Emily Fouraker.

Finally, supernatural horror film The Containment was released on VOD via Level 33 Entertainment. Directed by Jack Zagha Kababie and Yossy Zagha Kababie, and written with David Desola, the film stars Gia Hunter, Charlotte Hunter, Fernanda Romero, Alice Coulthard, Jack Gouldbourne, and Gabriel Bonilla. It follows a teenager possessed by a dark force and the unsettling events that unfold when her mother seeks help from the church.
