25-Year-Old Woman Dies After Fall at Robo Harau Waterfall
Windy Rahma Putri, a 25-year-old tourist from Padang Pariaman, was found dead on Friday morning, October 16, 2026, after slipping and falling into the current at Air Terjun Robo Harau in Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra.
The incident occurred on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m. when the victim was bathing at the waterfall location in Nagari Harau. According to authorities, she slipped, fell from a high place, and was suspected of drowning before being swept away by the current. A video capturing the moments of the victim slipping and falling from a height has also circulated widely on social media.
Joint SAR Team Finds Victim on Friday Morning
The Class A Padang Search and Rescue (SAR) Office received a report regarding the emergency at approximately 5:27 p.m. on Thursday. Following the report, a joint SAR team was deployed to conduct a search operation within a radius of approximately 570 meters from the location where the incident took place.

Authorities Hand over Windy Rahma Putri to Family
Following the detection of the victim’s position, the team immediately carried out operations to extract and evacuate the body from the waterfall area. Abdul Malik confirmed, Pada pukul 10.45 WIB, korban telah ditemukan dengan keadaan meninggal dunia dan tim langsung melakukan evakuasi.
After being successfully evacuated from the site, the remains of Windy Rahma Putri were handed over by the authorities to her family members for funeral arrangements and burial procedures.
