2026 Wrestling Finals: State Champs Network Highlights
The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) concluded its 2026 individual wrestling state championships on Wednesday, following team finals held on March 24, according to the State Champs! Network.
Competition unfolded across multiple weight classes, with results being updated throughout the event. In the 3A 106 weight class, Niko Odiotti of Wilmette (Loyola Academy) secured a first-place victory, defeating Noe Hernandez of Lockport Township by technical fall with a score of 17-1 in 2:20. Elio Gil of Chicago (Marist) won by major decision over Dominic Melody of Carol Stream (Glenbard North) with a score of 19-6. Michael McNamara of Edwardsville achieved a win by fall over Luthor Rajcevich of Hampshire in 1:58. Colton Wyller of Aurora (Marmion Academy) also won by fall, defeating Maximus Aye of St. Charles in 1:15. Kane Robles of Joliet (Catholic Academy) secured a major decision victory against Brady Myatt of Fox Lake (Grant) with a score of 8-0. Jackson Soney of Normal (Community) won by decision over Stefan Vihrov of Lincolnshire (Stevenson) with a score of 13-8, and Aidan Ortega of Glen Ellyn (Glenbard West) won by major decision over Anthony Hayes of Orland Park (Sandburg) with a score of 11-2.
The 3A 113 weight class saw Caleb Noble of Gurnee (Warren) win by technical fall over Kellan Hack of Fresh Lenox (Lincoln-Way West) with a score of 19-2 in 1:31. Gabe Richmond of Aurora (West Aurora) won by major decision over George Georgiev of Park Ridge (Maine South) with a score of 12-3. Jack Koenig of Chicago (St. Patrick) also achieved a victory in this weight class.
In the 3A 120 weight class, Dom Munaretto of St. Charles (East) won by decision over Allen Woo of Lombard (Montini) with a score of 4-3. Kaleb Pratt of Barrington secured a win by decision over Ray Long of Niles (Notre Dame) with a score of 7-1. Brody Page of Aurora (Marmion Academy) also won by decision, defeating Jayce Glauser of Fox Lake (Grant) with a score of 8-1.
The 3A 126 weight class saw Jamiel Castleberry of Oak Park achieve a victory. Further results from this and other weight classes were being updated on FloSports as the championships progressed.
