2026 Spring Festival Gala: Lineup & Robot Performances Revealed
China’s annual Spring Festival Gala, known as the “Chunwan,” will broadcast live tonight at 8 p.m. Local time across ten national television channels, including CCTV-1, CCTV-3, and CCTV-4K, according to a statement released by the China Central Television (CCTV) today.
The gala will also be simultaneously broadcast on nine national radio frequencies, including China National Radio’s Voice of China and Music Radio, as well as six new media platforms operated by CCTV, including the CCTV News app and website. The broadcast will extend internationally via CGTN in 85 languages to over 200 countries and regions, reaching an audience of more than 3,500 media outlets, CCTV reported.
This year’s event features a multi-location format, with primary staging in Beijing alongside sub-venues in Harbin, Heilongjiang province; Yiwu, Zhejiang province; Hefei, Anhui province; and Yibin, Sichuan province. Ren Lu豫, Sa Beining, Ni Guimati, Long Yang, Ma Fanshu, and Liu Xin悦 will host the Beijing-based broadcast. Yang Fan and Jiang Duo will host from the Harbin sub-venue.
The gala is a joint effort involving the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, the African Broadcasting Union, the Latin American News Agency, the Arab States Broadcasting Union, the European News Exchange, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Broadcasting Union, and the Caribbean Broadcasting Union, according to CCTV. These alliances will facilitate the dissemination of the gala’s content to over 400 media organizations across 181 countries and regions.
The 2026 Chunwan has completed five full rehearsals, according to CCTV. The program lineup was released today, though specific performance details remain undisclosed.
