2026 Dongguan Songshan Lake KeBA Basketball Tournament Registration Opens
Corporate and Research Teams Line Up for Songshan Lake Showdown
Registration has opened for up to 24 corporate and research teams to compete in the 2026 Songshan Lake “Ke BA” basketball tournament in Dongguan.
The event is restricted to registered enterprises, research institutions, and industrial park operators located within the Songshan Lake zone, with each participating unit limited to entering a single squad. Organizers will divide the field into four to eight groups depending on final registration numbers, followed by an open public draw to determine the schedule.
Strict Roster Rules and Eligibility Mandates
Players must be official, full-time employees who have worked at the competing unit continuously for at least three months, verified through recent social security records or employment certificates. Rosters can carry between 15 and 18 players, which may include up to three outside ringers. These outside players are restricted to active university team members holding valid enrollment proof or local primary and secondary school physical education teachers. A maximum of two outside players can take the floor simultaneously during any given quarter.
Industrial park enterprises can also form joint teams by presenting park registration certificates, business licenses, and internal lease agreements. Employees from all participating units on a joint team count as regular roster members rather than outside additions.
Health Checks and Mandatory Uniform Standards
All participants must pass a physical examination, and individuals with cardiovascular or respiratory conditions that preclude strenuous exercise are barred from playing. Teams must provide their own dark and light uniforms numbered between 1 and 99, with outside players restricted to numbers 27, 28, and 29.
Tournament Format and CBA Rule Framework
Competition begins with a single-round robin in the first stage, where teams earn two points for a win, one for a loss, and zero for a forfeiture. The top two teams from each group advance to a cross-elimination bracket. Matches follow the Chinese Basketball Association’s 2023 rules and interpretations, consisting of four 10-minute quarters with a stopped clock.
Weather Delays and Rigorous Documentation Requirements
Organizers stated that inclement weather will cause matches on that day to be postponed, with schedule updates provided.
Teams must submit official registration forms bearing company seals, player photo summaries, ID scans, health certificates, signed liability waivers, and personal accident insurance policy copies to the designated email address.
