2025 Wabash College Football – Game Nine Preview at Oberlin College

WABASH COLLEGE FOOTBALL SECURES NINTH WIN, PREPARES⁤ FOR ROAD MATCHUP AT ⁣OBERLIN

Oberlin, OH – The Wabash College football team (8-1, 6-0 NCAC) continued​ its winning streak with a 24-14 victory over Wittenberg, extending its head-to-head dominance to four consecutive games. Now,the Little ⁤Giants turn their attention to a​ road contest against Oberlin College ⁢(0-8,0-6 NCAC)⁣ this Saturday.

Defensively, Wabash was led by⁢ Liam Robertson and Samuel Ringer, each recording eight tackles. Ringer also contributed an interception, while Holsclaw sealed the ‌win with a⁢ late-game pick.

Wabash boasts impressive national rankings entering the final two weeks of the regular season. The team leads⁣ NCAA Division‌ III in blocked kicks (9) and⁢ blocked punts (5). They are sixth nationally in fourth-down defense (22.2 percent) and 12th in third-down defense (27.3 percent), allowing​ opponents‍ an⁤ average of 18.4 points and 273.0 total yards per game.Wabash also ranks 13th nationally in rushing⁤ defense ‌(64.5 yards allowed ⁤per game)⁤ and 35th in total defense.

Offensively, wabash averages 420.0 yards and 38.6 points per game, ranking 50th and ⁢35th nationally, respectively. quarterback ike Campbell has a 161.1 passer efficiency rating (42nd nationally) with 1,879 passing yards and 18 touchdowns on 61.4 percent completion. He averages 14.6 ‌yards per ‍completion (29th nationally) ⁢and contributes ⁤19.0 points responsible per game.

Senior kicker Brody Rucker is 14th nationally in field goal percentage (.846) and sixth in field goals per game‍ (1.38),second in the NCAC in scoring with 8.4 points per game. The Little giants also⁢ rank in the national top 25 in net punting (37.7 yards) and punt return defense (1.5 yards per return‍ allowed).

Oberlin averages 7.5 points and 209.9 ​yards of offense​ while conceding 44.3 points ⁣and 457.5 yards per game. Quarterback James Muckle leads the Yeomen with 814 passing yards and five touchdowns. Zeke Cain and Jack‌ Griffith share the rushing duties, while Aiden Carroll leads the receiving corps with 25 catches for 281 yards and⁣ three touchdowns. Jordan King leads Oberlin’s defense with 56‌ tackles, followed by Gabe Stutz with 43 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss. Oberlin​ leads the⁢ NCAC and ranks 43rd nationally in fewest penalties⁣ per ⁣game (3.75).

Following‍ the Oberlin game, Wabash⁢ will return​ home on November 15 for the 131st Monon Bell‍ Classic against DePauw University, with kickoff scheduled for 1:07‌ p.m. Eastern at ‍Little giant Stadium.
